Lakeside Wrestling Competes at Riverside Rumble

PAINESVILLE, OH — The Lakeside High School wrestling team competed in the Riverside Rumble Invitational this past weekend, gaining valuable experience against a strong field of programs from across Northeast Ohio.
Leading the way for the Dragons was Isaac Coup, who captured the championship at 165 pounds. Coup wrestled with confidence and consistency throughout the tournament, finishing atop his weight class and bringing home a first-place finish for Lakeside.
Also turning in a solid performance was Amani Hunt, who earned a fourth-place finish at 106 pounds after battling through a competitive bracket. Hunt’s effort added important experience and points for the Dragons. This was rounded out by strong performances by Yadiel Pagan, Elijah Bartunek, Alex Rodriguez and Dom Willm
The Riverside Rumble provided Lakeside with an early-season opportunity to test itself against high-quality competition and continue building momentum as the season progresses. Coaches were pleased with the team’s effort and competitiveness on the mat.
Lakeside wrestling will be back on the mat at Beachwood Duals on Saturday December 20th
