Recently the wrestling program took advantage of the opportunity to attend the Lock Haven University Wrestling Camp. A group of seven athletes attended four days of camp on the campus of Lock Haven, not only having the opportunity to further fundamental skills for wrestling, but social skills by staying on a college campus nearly four hours away. Wrestling joined swimming (Edinboro), Boys Basketball (University of Akron Shootout) and Football (Mount Union 7-on-7) to attend off-site college camps. The volleyball program will host the Cleveland State coaching staff for a volleyball camp June 22-24.
Head Coach Andy Horvath and Assistant Coach Paul Lauth attended the camp with the team. Horvath said, “The experience at camp at Lock Haven was a great opportunity for our athletes to train at an elite level, develop new skills, and network with other high school wrestlers and collegiate athletes and coaches. The hard work put in this week will pay dividends in the upcoming season as our wrestlers make the push to punch their ticket to the Schott.”
